With Windows 7 being released, which along with the latest in Apples OSs, can display Deseret characters I thought I would have a little fun with it and see if I could make a Latin alphabet English to Deseret alphabet English translator. I made it as far as being able to replace all of the consonants preserving capitalization and a handful of token combinations before I realized the huge problem would be in trying to figure out how to translate the vowels. If it weren't for all of the exceptions to rules in Latin alphabet English it might be a bit of a simple task.
I had thought it might be a fun and simple project to put up, but it looks like it will take some extra thought and work before it is ready. At least it sort of works.
